Anime SavePoint. This week in anime (May 1st-8th)
Hello, Greetings and welcome to Anime Savepoint
The Spring anime season is well underway now and at the moment it just keeps on giving. Let’s see what last week’s episodes had in store for us.
1-Windbreaker Episode 5:
The tournament arc is underway, and we get a taster of what our Furin boys are all about. Obviously, the main fights will be left for the main course, which will be either the next episode or in 2 episodes or so. But that doesn’t mean we didn’t get some amazing action and fights in episode 5.
We finally got to see what Hayato is all about and boy he did not disappoint. He’s the soft-spoken nice guy of the group. Right? I mean he’s definitely the calmest and most collected out of the Furin students we’ve seen so far, isn’t he?
And what about the enemy school’s vice-captain Togame? He seemed like a Joker-type character who would mess you up but still not be too terrifying or was I mistaken?
So many questions remain to be answered while getting to know the characters more deeply. But for now, let’s wait for episode 6 to come out and watch these teenagers bully and beat the living daylights out of each other, shall we?
2- My Hero Academia Episode 1 (S7):
A modern-day juggernaut of the Shonen world makes its return. My hero academia is back and the first episode left fans as angry as they were excited. The fight between Shigaraki and ‘Star and Stripe’ was one of the most anticipated events in the My Hero Academia world and at first viewing it doesn’t look like the Anime will come even close to what the Manga was able to portray.
HOWEVER,
I still think the fight going on is really awesome and ‘Star and Stripe’s’ power is one of the most insane and broken abilities that we’ve seen come out of the MHA world. Shigaraki is really going to have to give absolutely everything to fight his way out of this one.
Whatever happens, two things are certain. MHA will still be one of the most-watched shows this season, and the fans will find something to complain about.
3-Kaiju No. 8 Episode 4:
WOW.
JUST WOW!!!!.
I mean what even is there to say? Other than it was absolutely, positively, and undoubtedly the best episode of anime to come out last week. What’s funny is that people had been telling me that I was going to be enjoying this show but I didn’t think I’d be enjoying it THIS MUCH.
When it comes to talking about Episode 4, other than talking about the amazing animation and the memorable big moment, I can’t really say to much without spoiling it.
(Which I don’t do obviously.)
What I did want to talk about however is this absolutely adorable human being right here.
Getting to see snippets of her back story and now understanding what drives her to be the best of the best was really eye-opening and she’s honestly becoming my favorite character in the show so far.
4-Dungeon Meshi Episode 18:
After the absolute carnage that has been the past few episodes of Dungeon Meshi, I assume that it would come as no surprise that the show decided to slow down and go back to what we were used to in the earlier days of the series.
A little bit of monster shenanigans mixed in with some cooking of the most unexpected ingredients.
The Blood Bath that has been episodes 13 to 18 of Dungeon Meshi may have even left some wondering if this show is still about food. Rest assured it still is. It just offers so much more alongside it.
If after all this time you are still not watching Dungeon Meshi, I implore you to start the show, it isn’t too late.
5-Go Go Loser Ranger Episode:
As far as I can tell there was no Episode of GO-GO LOSER Ranger this week. Which is extremely lame but we shall be patient and let the ruckus continue at the end of this week.
